Ø      Responsible for smooth functioning of Country operations and delivering profitable P&L.

 

Ø      Manage Airlines relations & procurement to support market competitive rates & volume growth.

 

Ø      Operations Excellence, Process compliance & improvements, Operational cost reduction, business transitioning & implementation (customer on-boarding), Customer retention & satisfaction.

 

Ø      Vendor Management & compliance as per the guidelines and procedures.

 

 

Ø      Airfreight Budget management

 

Ø      Shared responsibility to achieve air product budget along with country management.

Ø      Implement short, mid & long-term strategies, new products, consolidations, promotions to encourage & support sales team to growth the product & achieve budget numbers.

Ø      Develop & maintain excellent & effective rapport & work understanding with overseas offices including FSL & agents’ network.

Ø      Generate & maintain product & airfreight market visibility through MIS & periodic reports.

Ø      Business review reports & analyses for the product, keep working towards performance improvement, including profitability & productivity.

Ø      Constant efforts to know current & ever-changing rules & regulations within the country & overseas, share & implement the same with country & overseas teams to ensure on time & 100% compliance & adherence.

 

Ø      Build effective relationship with airlines within the country, aligning to global strategy on airlines working & utilization.

Ensuring buy rates from airlines are at par to market selling levels, including spot, short & long term rates.

Periodic MBRs/QBRs with key airlines to highlight mutual achievements, service/cost review & future working strategies.

Continuously work towards reducing operations cost through regular cost reviews & negotiations with vendors & business partners.

Product Growth

 

Identify key trade lanes in coordination & agreement with sales Leader/s to develop a product to promote volume growth.

Actively support volume & business growth by participating in sales meetings to representing air product.

Coordination with Sales Team Leader/s to create Joint Customer Meetings to support improvement in new customer wins, continuous efforts.

Work on RFQs & spot rate requests with competitive costing & customer centric solutions for both internal & external customers.

Identify key customers on quarterly basis & schedule MBRs / QBRs to review service offerings, business handling & discover opportunities for further deep/cross selling opportunities. (Customer penetration)

OPS Excellence

 

Responsible for delivering Operational excellence & process compliance for the product & team, including system updates, shipment data entry, data compliance & intercompany settlements and timely file closures.

Hold regular meeting with team members to review day-to-day performance & proactively work towards addressing potential gaps & service issues.

Ensuring team & process is working effectively & correctly to avoid any claims, fines or penalties due to negligence or service failures.

People Management

 

Ensuring & developing team members to required level of competency to deliver seamless service & achieve required customer KPIs as per SOP.

Ensuring team shifts & roster is managed effectively to cover minimum requirement of business working hours, including back-ups & contingency plans (due to leaves/unexpected attrition).

Identify training requirements for the team and organize training to build up competencies

Develop a team spirit and multitasking capabilities within the team

Requirements

Expected years of experience

 

Minimum 8-10 years in the Freight forwarding industry

 

Educational Qualifications

 

Master graduate / equivalent from a reputed institute OR Graduate
