- Our Client, a commercial lines property &
casualty insurance holding company, is seeking an Business Systems Analyst
Location: Stamford, CT - Position Type: IT Full Time
Job Summary:
As a Business Systems Analyst this position will build strong relationships with all operational areas to acquire a good understanding of the business. They will support technology initiatives by analyzing each business process, gathering requirements, performing source to target data mappings, and to document all business processes.
Key
Accountabilities:
- Business
Systems Analyst
- Critically
evaluate information gathered from multiple internal and external sources
to develop logical recommendations.
- Able
to make multiple recommendations on how to improve the business
processes/workflow.
- Deep
understanding of upstream/downstream impact of system changes.
- Determine
client and organizational needs, system and operational requirements,
downstream system impacts, and legal compliance obligations.
- Document
requirements, design, testing and/or initiation of projects to help
provide solutions for the business.
Additional
Accountabilities:
- Create
training materials and provide end-user training to employees.
- Provides
support to the SOX compliance reviews.
- Acts
on a consultative role to provide resolutions to complex problems.
- Research
outside systems that are used in the insurance industry that would work in
our environment.
- Provide
3rd party vendor analysis.
- Travel
up to 10% may be required.
Requirements
- 10 years full time business
system analyst experience
- 5
– 10 years related insurance industry experience
- Some
P&C Insurance Knowledge
- Excellent
problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong
interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written; Experienced
in working closely with Business Leaders and staff
- Ability
to quickly learn new technology and systems
- Knowledgeable
of outside systems available to our industry.
- Previous
3rd Party Vendor experience.
- New
System Implementation experience.
- Proven
software experience with Java, C#, SQL, ASP.net, XML, HTML, and Microsoft
Office Products.
- Must
